Courses for Children – SHINING STARS
Supporting Children to Shine
Today’s children are different.
- Some are deeply sensitive and struggle with what they feel.
- Some have wisdom to offer but have difficulty finding their voice.
- Others react strongly to outdated authoritarian models of parenting and education.
Children are asking adults to recognize and value them in new ways.
- They want to be guided and supported in life rather than being told what to do and how to do it.
- They want to be honoured, valued and seen as their own unique selves.
Shining Stars will help your child shine. Through sharing everyday experiences, challenges and joys with other children, your child will:
- Find their voice to speak and share their wisdom
- Learn about their feelings and how to take care of them
- Journey into relaxation through music and imagery practices
- Gain skills that help them be confident in their everyday home and school life.
Shining Stars is suitable for children 7-12 years of age.

Testimonial:
“Our son Reuben looked forward to his weekly sessions of “What Makes Me Special” with Janet at the Pascha Centre. When I asked Reuben recently what he enjoyed about the classes he told me; “It made me feel nice & really good about myself. Janet is cool!” As parents we noticed Reuben’s confidence grew & he really felt permission to be himself. As a very expressive & creative child Janet affirmed & encouraged his unique qualities which has contributed to Reuben’s love of performing with his guitar & singing. Learning about his feelings & their needs has been very beneficial for him in his interactions with others, most especially his peers. Malcolm & I would really recommend Janet for her warmth, love, care, fun, encouragement, support, & mentoring of children.”
